Sirmione, enclosed within the walls of a castle Scaligero, has a whole historical charm: entering the city through the castle drawbridge, continue to the tip of the peninsula to visit the remains of the largest Roman villa in northern Italy, calls Catullo Caves. Manerba del Garda
Manerba is nestled in the green hills of the Valtenesi, which, with its magnificent farms offer the unforgettable Garda oil, D.O.C wines already appreciated by the Romans, horseback riding, restaurants from simple Mediterranean cuisine and beautiful Golf Course. The looming fortress called “Rocca di Manerba”, a massive hill overlooking the lake where you can see much of the Garda Lake and some of its islands, is popular for leisurely walks on horseback or bicycle through a Natural Park.
On the beautiful promenade of Salò, the height of the landing stage, they notice “The Church of San Pietro” and “the Palazzo del Podesta” testimony to the noble history of the city. The historic center, between Piazza Carmine, the “cleansing” and the lakefront, is a dense network of streets, alleys and squares with stately homes, elegant shops, restaurants and bars.
Peschiera del Garda
Peschiera del Garda is one of the original towns of the Garda Lake, it is completely surrounded by canals and overlooks the lake at the point where the waters of Garda Lake come emissary Mincio.
